You did It! Fire Dice Unlocked!

Congrats! The $45k Stretch Goal was unlocked and this edition of Rescue Polar Bears: Data & Temperature will now include the red temperature "Fire" dice!!

 Let's keep it going and unlock the Ice Dice!

Now that we've got Fire Dice, let's get the Ice Dice too! Maybe you know someone who might like a copy of the game as a gift for an upcoming birthday? Or perhaps you can go together with some friends to share shipping costs and get multiple copies! 

This is a great game for lots of different kinds of gamers and families to play! Show off this great game with these adorable polar bears on social media and let everyone know the clock's ticking! There's not much time left before this Kickstarter ends!

Revised English Ship Abilites

When we uploaded the revised English rulebook on BGG, we have a few people ask us to upload the Revised English ship abilities. We thought that was a great idea. Of course, that give you all a chance to see come more of the revised English components.

We can still hit those stretch goals!

There's less than 60 hours to go and we are sure that we can hit those stretch goals! Tell all your friends about Rescue Polar Bears! If you're not in the States, see if they want to go in together and share shipping costs with you! If you are, maybe you want a second copy for gift giving (it would make a great holiday or birthday gift!). 

We are closing in on both of those stretch goals and we know it can happen! Please share it on social media! 

Those resin polar bears are so adorable and this is everyone's chance to get them! Any printing done later will be plastic polar bears. They will still be high quality meeples, but they will look different than the resin bears. So tell everyone that if they want the resin bears...now's the chance to get them! Let's do this!

More fun polar bear facts!

 Polar bears are very curious animals. In fact, when they encounter camera equipment and human beings...even ships in their territory, they often investigate. Usually, unless it is a mama bear protecting her cubs, their first instinct is to just check the foreign person or equipment out, and not attack. It's more like "ice to see you" and not "go away, you're not wanted." 

It is far more frightening for the people than it is for the polar bear. But it's still not recommended for you to go hang out with a polar bear ;)

Stretch Reward Goals Lowered!!!

New Reward Goals!

Many of you have indicated that you’d like us to lower the stretch reward goals so there would be a chance of hitting them in these last few days. We crunched some numbers and decided it could be done! 

So now we will transform the red temperature dice into the red translucent temperature “Fire dice” at $45k and we will transform the blue D20 into the “Ice Dice” at $48k! (And we will be keeping the custom design of the temperature die the same.)

There are three days left in the Kickstarter campaign, so please share it on social media and tell your friends! Let’s get those Fire & Ice Dice!

Check out this updated Game Board!

Many of you have noticed the Chinese characters on the components in reviews and pictures of the game online, and you've asked if our version will be in English. We wanted to address that in today's update. You haven't gotten to see any images yet of the updated all English files, so we wanted to share the above image of the game board!

The Mayday Games version of Rescue Polar Bears: Data & Temperature won't change anything about gameplay or mechanics. Not one little bit. But we will clean up the English translation to make it more clear for English-speaking gamers and it will be an ALL-English edition of the game! 

We can still hit those stretch goals!

We have 6 days to go and in order to hit BOTH stretch goals to get those Fire & Ice Dice, we need to get just under $20k more! You all can help by sharing the link to the campaign everywhere across social media! Tell all your friends and family about how awesome this game is and how adorable those polar bear meeples are!

We think this game will appeal even to non-gamers, even though it's a little tough...those bears are just so darn cute! So let's try to hit both stretch goals and get those Fire & Ice Dice!!

Updated Stretch Goals

One thing we always strive to do is listen to you: our Kickstarter backers. A lot of you have expressed the opinion that the red temperature die needs to stay red. Your reasoning behind it makes a lot of sense:the red die is red because the temperature in the Arctic is rising. 

We originally wanted to do the "ice dice" because we thought it would just be a neat thing, and we still do. A few of you even said you think the "ice dice" look neat. So, we want to still offer the best of both worlds as stretch goals.

We have decided to do "Fire and Ice" Dice as stretch goals!!

So, the $50k Stretch Goal will be a  the custom red translucent "Fire" die, and the $60k stretch goal will still be the 20-sided "ice die."
