International Fulfillment, Missing Cards and You

First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you for being BEARY good to us! This game would not be a reality with Mayday if it weren't for all of you, and I wanted to make sure that I reiterated that fact. 

A few questions have come up in the comments and I have been doing my best to address them as they have arisen, but I wanted to put out an update so everyone is on the same page because I know that not everyone looks at the comments section. 

1. International Backers & Tracking Numbers

• You will all be receiving tracking numbers. I have been in contact with our customer service specialist with the warehouse that handles our overseas shipping. We are setting this up so that all copies of the game shipping out will receive a tracking number and those tracking numbers will be automatically emailed to you. 
  
• Our International fulfillment has not begun, so don't worry that you haven't yet received a tracking number or that you haven't gotten you game yet...

Which brings me to my next topic of discussion.

2. The "Risk Resolved Temporarily" card back does not match the rest of the card backs. This was a factory error and, as such, the factory is reprinting the card. We will be sending a new card to all of you as soon as the factory has finished the re-print, which we expect will be done very quickly. 

3. Missing 3 Player Aid Cards. This was also a factory error and, again, the factory is rectifying the mistake. We will have the missing 3 cards in hand at the same time as the "Risk Resolved Temporarily" card.

What do these errors mean for fulfillment and how will you get your cards?

For U.S. backers and backers whose games are being shipped from the U.S. warehouse: we will mail out those 4 cards in standard first class envelopes as soon as we receive them from the factory. 

For International Backers: We expect to have the new cards within a week or two because we put a rush on it with the factory. As such, we are going to hold off on fulfillment so that we can send the new cards with your games.

Hi everyone! I am seeing comments coming through concerning some shipping problems with the game. I want you all to know that I have contacted the warehouse to address the issue and if you have any issues with your game when it reaches you, please email our customer service at [email protected]. You may email our Kickstarter customer service rep regarding issues with you game condition, any missing items or any other problems you might incur during fulfillment. 

Please know that we are working to fix any issues that might have happened.

Rescue Polar Bears arrived at our warehouse today!!! Our warehouse manager, Kay, is so awesome that the delivery came in and she has already begun the fulfillment process!!! We think she is pretty awesome, and hope that you will appreciate her awesomeness as well!!!

We have closed the pre-order store, so we are no longer taking pre-orders. However if you have not filled out your Pledge Manager Survey, you may still do so! If you want to make sure you get your copy of Rescue Polar Bears in a timely manner, be sure to fill out our survey ASAP!

Rescue Polar Bears is in the port! So barring any major snaffoos, we hope to have it in our warehouse soon!

Let's Unbox It!

"Bear" with me here, I've not done one of these before...but I promised an unboxing video and here it is!

I grabbed one of the few copies we flew into the states for reviewers and demo purposes so that I could show you, our backers, how the game looks! 

Fulfillment Timeline

We are still on schedule for a September fulfillment. The game was put on the boat from China on just before GenCon. So we should receive it in early September and be able to begin fulfillment at that time!

Some Rules Clarifications

We had some reviewers ask us for some rules clarifications, so we thought we'd post those questions and our answers both here and on BGG. First of all, any time you are looking for rules clarifications, you can head over to BGG. There is a forum for the game and the rules here.

Q: When the ice breaks (aka ice tile is removed) and there is a data token on it, is the data token also removed?

A: No. Melting ice doesn't kill a data token. Data tokens can exist in the water, allowing boats in the same space to pick them up without using an action. 

 Q: Regarding Precise Prediction, does this allow you to turn over three alert tokens and then decide which ones you want to use in what order in order to basically eliminate the surprise factor?

A: According to the rulebook, any face up tokens must be used before drawing any others. So yes when you use Precise Prediction, you look at the three top Alert Tokens and then decide what order they will be drawn.
